Initial CPC TRAINING COURSE

Driver CPC INITIAL Qualification

This is split into four parts, part one and three are the theory and practical test needed to gain the vocational licence.

Mod 2 & 4  – This is for drivers that took their LGV/PCV  test after 2009.

You have to take the case study test ( mod 2 ) at the Pearson Centre followed by a Demonstration test with us ( mod. 4 ) 

Then once completed you revert to the Periodic training

From September 2009 if you drive a bus, coach or lorry for a living you must hold a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC).

Driver CPC has been introduced throughout the European Union. Its aim is to maintain high standards of driving and improve road safety. Driver CPC covers anyone who drives buses, coaches and minibuses with nine or more passenger seats, and lorries weighing over 3.5 tonnes, for a living.

Training

PJE Driver Training provide all skills training at our Hereford based DVSA customer vocational site.

Test Time

All drivers must complete 35 hours every five years on an on-going cycle to keep driving for a living. We offer 7-hour courses to help you on your way to completing your hours.
